What is Happening Now?

This project is currently at Phase 1 Concept and Feasibility. The purpose of Phase 1 is to develop and investigate in further detail the feasibility of the project, to identify a suitable study area for the examination of preliminary options and to implement the project management structure.

Public Consultation No.1 on the study area took place between 13th May and 14th June 2024. See here for more details.

The project is continuing its technical and environmental assessments while incorporating stakeholder feedback to progress the project to Phase 2 Options Selection. The project hopes to conduct another public consultation in early 2025.
